World Cup Group G - France Disappoints (France 1 - South Korea 1)

I didn't catch this match, but from the results, it seems either France is no longer the France we know or South Korea is proving to be a strong soccer nation. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

France is visibly a shadow of the team that won the World Cup in 98. In fact they have not been playing impressive soccer since Euro 2000.

South Korea hasn't been lighting up the Asian stage, but they have that grit in them, and are proving that the last World Cup semi-final showing is no flash in the pan. While they look likely to advance from this group, what remains to be seen is how far they will go on in the competition.

As a fellow Asian, I'd be rooting for South Korea....Be The Reds!
