World Cup Group F - Disappointing Draw for Both Sides (Japan 0 - Croatia 0)

Good thing the feed I had stopped somewhere in the first half, it was a painful match to watch. Both sides needed to win this game but neither could.

Croatia missed a number of good chances, hardly troubling Kawaguchi. Japan on the other hand resorted to taking long shots which were easily collected by Pletikosa.

Croatia also missed a penalty in the first half, which of course I missed due to a drop in signal. I only managed to restore the feed at the end of the half.

After a good showing against Brazil, I expected Croatia to win this one, but it wasn't to be. Perhaps the weather played a part in the way both teams played. Unless Croatia can beat Australia, it seems unlikely they will go through. Japan has a harder task at hand. They need to beat World Champions Brazil to have any hope of qualifying.
