United Loses Chief Scout
It's official. Carlos Queiroz has left to take on the top job in Portugal.
Carlos Queiroz leaves Manchester United to take over as Portugal coach
Queiroz joins Portugal and leaves Ferguson with a headache
It was always on the cards when the Portuguese FA came knocking on his door. Considering his past history, it was to be expected. The top coaching job for Portugal is somewhat a higher profile job than what he's currently holding on to....you know something like that coaching job for a certain Spanish club earlier in the decade.
Anyway I'm sure it's not a huge loss now that Ronaldo has set himself up for a difficult season with the management and fans. One of the main reason Carlos has been influential to the club was to keep Ronaldo in check, but as we all know, this summer has turned into somewhat of a circus involving a bunch of clowns from Spain and one from Portugal.
I'm sincerely wishing Carlos all the best in his new appointment. We'd miss his scouting talents terribly. Yet on the other hand, hopefully without his insightful prodding at Fergie, we'd come to play football in Europe this season....hopefully.
